FAQ's/STEPS

Q & A’s

Q: How many installations has Bill done? A: With over 150 installations completed, Bill’s expertise ensures top-quality workmanship for every project.

Q: What types of RVs has Bill worked on? A: Bill’s experience spans all types, from HUGE Class A buses and 5th Wheel trailers, to cozy Class B vans and truck campers, and even unconventional conversions like horse trailers and school buses.

Q: How do we decide when and where the install will take place? A: Visit our When/Where/Contact page (at the top of the page) to choose a location and timeframe that suits you best. We’ll provide a link for the campground in a email.

Q: How long does an install take? A: Most installations take 4 to 6 days, followed by a 24 to 48-hour period for what we call “Solar School” when you will learn and practice using your system.

Q: Can I be present/sleep in my RV during the installation? A: Yes, you can stay in your RV during installation. However, some intrusion (such as taking apart cabinets, getting under the bed, etc) may occur, and most clients opt to explore local attractions during the day. Kelly can provide a list of local sites, if interested.

Q: Can I leave my RV during the install? A: If desired, you can leave your RV and return when the installation is complete. We’ll ensure everything is secure each evening.

Q: What about pets during the install? A: We’re pet-friendly and can accommodate your furry friends during the installation process.

Q: Can I assist during the install? A: While we appreciate the offer, for safety reasons, clients cannot assist during the installation. However, questions are welcomed at appropriate times.

Q: What are your payment policies? A: We require a $500 non-refundable booking deposit to secure your spot, a components deposit of 40% will be asked for about 45 days out, and the balance due upon completion of the install.

Q: What if I need to change or cancel my install? A: We understand that plans may change. We’ll work with you to find alternative dates if needed, but please note the $500 booking deposit is non-refundable.
